Database office management, processing and reporting.

AMIGE perform a full office processing and interpretation of the data obtained in the field in process of various surveys. The Company have available modern computing machinery with a wide range of software packages which make an experience personnel able to arrange this field data processing.
In 1999 a special database (DB) was developed for AMIGE engineering investigations performed. By now this database runs with DB Management System Oracle 10g Express Edition with client-server architecture which allows access to DB within a local LAN.

Current data base includes all information accumulated by AMIGE in process of surveys performed covering a complete period of the Company business activity as follows:

  • Georeference of the surveys performed;
  • Geotechnical surveys data;
  • Ice surveys data;
  • Oceanographic and weather data;
  • Attributive data of geophysical surveys.

Processing and interpretation of multi-beam echo sounder survey data and navigational data is performed with HYPACK 2009, HYSWEEP and PDS 2000. Such processing and interpretation result in modeling of the seabed locations and creation of bathymetric maps.

Processing and interpretation of shallow seismic survey data is performed with special software GeoGraphix SeisVision R2003 V8.3 (Landmark Graphix Co.), which allows batch processing within one project with data transfer for further map generation.

Processing of side-scan sonar survey data is performed with special software Sonar Web PRO V.3.16P (Chesapeake Technology), which allows mosaic generation of the seabed images and their interpretation.

Magnetometer data processing is performed with a help of special software MagPick V2.86 (Geometrics, Inc., USA). Regional and time variations are subtracted in the course of processing.

Software created by AMIGE specialists are used to process data of analytical studies, geotechnical drilling and further calculations required. Also, there are some personal program products to process and make interpretations of data obtained in process of oceanographic survey, weather observations and ice surveys.

GIS systems ArcGIS 9.x, ArcView 3.x and AutoCAD software packages are used for cartographic representation of the field data processing results.
